About Kris
Kris is the creator of The Original Agreement, a Dog-first framework built around trust, clarity, communication, responsibility, and relationship, where Dogs naturally follow, orient, cooperate, settle, stay, and live alongside humans through connection rather than obedience, coercion, or control.
The Original Agreement was built after years of rehabilitating Dogs, studying Dog behavior, and living alongside Dogs in real-world multi-Dog environments, most of whom had been labeled, surrendered, or considered for euthanasia.
While helping Dogs get better, Kris noticed contradictions he could never ignore.
Many of the things humans were trying to teach appeared naturally as Dogs became healthier, calmer, safer, and more connected.
At the same time, different systems often produced conflicting advice, conflicting explanations, and conflicting results.
Some Dogs improved.
Some Dogs got worse.
Many of the explanations failed to match what Kris was observing in real life.
The more he observed Dogs, the less those frameworks made sense.
Giving up on the Dogs was never an option.
So rather than continue adding more systems, Kris eliminated them, returned to the Dogs themselves, and started over from the beginning.
That work became The Original Agreement.
It was built so Dogs would no longer have to pay the price for human confusion.
